NYCC 2013: Batman: Arkham Origins Confirmed for iOS and Android, Official Trailer Released

At the Batman: Arkham Origins panel last night, it was confirmed that NetherRealm Studios will be working on iOS and Android versions of the upcoming prequel.

The gameplay is far more simplistic, like an arcade brawler, and is made for more casual play, with some “light RPG elements.” There are also plenty of skins available for the Dark Knight to wear (including a Batman Beyond skin) but they won’t be just for show–each one has different boosts and stats.

Lastly, there are some cross-platform unlocks including the “Red Sun Batman” if you get both the console and mobile versions. The official trailer has been posted below.
