NYCC 2013: Electrocutioner is Annouced for Batman: Arkham Origins as the Last Assassin

on October 13, 2013 5:00 PM

A new reveal at the Batman: Arkham Origins NYCC panel was rather shocking (pun intended)–the last assassin sent by criminal king-pin Black Mask to kill Batman–the Electrocutioner.

Sound familiar? Probably not, as the Electrocutioner was a very obscure vigilante turned villain that first appeared in an issue of Detective Comics in 1992. Like many of the other villains used in this game, he was pulled from his miserable existence and shaped into what looks to be an interesting character. It doesn’t hurt that the popular Steven Blum voices him.

Interestingly enough, Batman will be able to acquire the Electrocutioner’s Shock Gloves after their battle, which is useful for disrupting attacks and taking out armored foes. The trailer below gives you more info on the character, including his first appearance.
