Cyan, the developer that brought us titles such as Myst and Riven has announced the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR launch date for its newest adventure title Obduction.
Cyan has revealed that Obduction will be making its console debut on August 29 for $29.99. Pre-orders for the PlayStation 4 version of the game are now available on the PlayStation Store. This version comes in a package that includes both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR games, as well as an exclusive PS4 theme and avatars for fans to customize their PlayStation experience.
In Obduction, players walk across an alien landscape that holds inexplicable scatterings of Earth. As one who has been abducted and brought to this place by some strange artifact, it becomes up to them to unravel this world’s secrets, exploring vast environments, coaxing out its truths, and making choices with consequences that will reveal themselves all too soon.
Recently, Cyan released a new video, showcasing how the game appears in PlayStation VR. You can watch this short trailer below.
Obduction is currently available for PC, Mac, and Oculus Rift. It’s HTC Vive version has not yet received a release date, but is expected sometime later in 2017. For more information on the game, you are encouraged to check out the game’s official website.
