When OlliOlli first appeared on the PS Vita last January, the team at Roll7 never expected it to be so popular. The side-scrolling skateboarding game earned itself a place on this writers memory card and hasn't been removed since, even if it meant deleting other titles to make way for the monthly freebies that come with PS Plus.

OlliOlli 2 will be stepping it up a notch later this year with a few new features, as detailed on the PlayStation Blog.

The sequel will be introducing some new moves in the form of manuals and combos that will allow players to pull of big combos as well as new place on the HUD to show the potential score that could been earned if the combo was landed perfectly.

The levels themselves have also had some tweaks to give things a kick up the rear end. You'll be skating your way around curved ground, ramps and even rails. Grinding the rails has a bit an added challenge where players can switch between different grind types, though you'll have to nail the grind perfectly to do so.

OlliOlli 2 is also set to feature a brand new game mode, Combo Rush, though there's no details on what it will entail just yet, but the team have promised more info later this month.

In the mean time you can pick up the first OlliOlli on the PS Vita, PS3, PS4 and PC. If you prefer to game on the Wii U, Xbox One or 3DS then you'll be able to get to grips with OlliOlli when it releases this March.
