Opening Movie of XBlaze Code: Embryo Revealed

A new opening animation for XBlaze Code: Embryo, the BlazBlue spin-off action title announced for the PS Vita and PS3, has been revealed today. Code: Embryo, by Arc System Works, will be released in Japan on July 25th.

The opening shows the main character in full (albeit rather plain) glory, the full roster of main and supporting characters, and the antagonists of the game. We also see the protagonist wielding a giant sword and lunging at the main villain, which I assume will mean that he gains some sort of power-up that allows him to fight–possibly even through the mysterious Es girl that he meets early on.

It’s interesting to see a spin-off title from the BlazBlue series–hopefully XBlaze Code: Embryo will inject enough of that  inherent uniqueness of the main series to make this side game into its own successful series.
