Appeal Studio and Bigben Interactive released a new video for Outcast - Second Contact that compares this remake's graphics to the original 1999 PC release of Outcast.

Second Contact is a remake of the classic action adventure game Outcast, which was also developed by Appeal Studio. The game was critically acclaimed upon release, and sold very well. Unfortunately, while Appeal started work on a sequel called Outcast II: The Lost Paradise, that game was never finished due to bankruptcy issues.

The developers re-acquired the rights to Outcast back in 2014, and took to KickStarter to raise funds for a remake of the game. This KickStarter campaign was unsuccessful, but Appeal Studio was able to strike a deal with Bigben Interactive in order to fund a remake of the game.

Outcast - Second Contact was supposed to release back in March, but the game was delayed until this fall in order for the developers to work on and polish the game a bit more. This video showcases the improvement found in various character models and environments, and comes in at one minute an forty eight seconds long.

You can watch the video below. Outcast - Second Contact is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One this fall.
