Despite not technically being released, Garry Newman's new game has already exploded in terms of profit. Over the course of a single month, his new survival title Rust has already made more than 40% of what his previous game, Garry's Mod has made in the nine years since its release, Newman said today in an interview with Gameindustry.

Rust 'launched' through Steam's Early Access System, giving players a chance to buy in and try out a pre-release version of the game. So far, around 250,000 people have decided to throw down some money and try out the new title.

Following the announcement of Rust's profit, Newman has stated that he has no plans to alter the price.

Right now it seems like a good price to stick at.
