Toay Blizzard Entertainment officially announced a new hero for Overwatch, Orisa.

Orisa is a tank character rebuilt by robotics child prodigy Efi Oladele, coming "soon" to the live servers.

"Orisa serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates from the frontline with a protective barrier. She can attack from long range, fortify her own defenses, launch graviton charges to slow and move enemies, and deploy a Supercharger to boost the damage output of multiple allies at once."

The announcement was accompanied by the usual origin story trailer, and by a developer update video in which Game Director Jeff Kaplan explains the character's backstory, abilities and more.

Overwatch is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and just yesterday it won Game of the Year at the Game Developers Choice Awards, following an equivalent win at the D.I.C.E. awards, proving definitely popular in developer-voted awards shows.
