Owlboy Finally Gets a Release Date After 10 Years of Development; New Trailer

D-Pad Studios announced at Pax West 2016 that their action platformer Owlboy will be released for PC on November 1.

Players will take control of an owl-human hybrid named Otus who is tasked with saving his town after a pirate attack.

The developers detail the game further:

Owlboy is a ‘high-bit’ adventure game, where you can fly and explore a brand new world in the clouds! Pick up your friends, and bring them with you as you explore the open skies. Overcome obstacles and greater enemies, in one of the most detailed adventures of this era.

Originally, the game entered development in 2007 with no set release date.¬†After an early playable build released at Pax 2013 and a booth at Pax 2016, the studio has officially announced the game’s release date.

Additionally, pre-orders are open for the physical boxed version of the game at the Indiebox website.
