Today, Nintendo revealed quite a few indies that would be making their way to Nintendo Switch, including Yono and the Celestial Elephants and Pikuniku among many others. However, one other that is sure to get fans excited is the announcement of Oxenfree on Switch.

Night School Studios' Oxenfree is an supernatural thriller/adventure game that tells the story of a group of friends who unintentionally create a rift into a ghost dimension. As Alex, a rebellious teenager, you bring your stepbrother Jonas to a party at an island that happens to be an old military post. It becomes up to you to determine how you will deal with the horrors that have been unleashed here and the friends you've brought along.

The Nintendo Switch version of Oxenfree is expected to release sometime this October. Perhaps it will be just in time for Halloween?

Oxenfree is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Linux, Android, and iOS. For more information on the game, you can visit its official website or its Steam page. Below is the trailer that went live for the game's initial launch.

A fair amount of news has been released about Oxenfree lately, such as the reveal that it would be included in September's Xbox Games with Gold between September 16 and October 15. Before that, the game was also available as the free game available to Twitch Prime members for the month of May.
