If you're not keen on picking up sarcasm, the above title had plenty. Everyone's favorite analyst Michael Pachter has revealed that he has an idea on what developer Respawn Entertainment is working on as we speak; and no, it has nothing to do with Call of Duty.

"The one genre that hasn't been cloned a lot is space shooter, so I'll make a prediction here," Pachter told Game Trailers. "Respawn Entertainment, the ex-Infinity Ward guys - that's their next game."

According to the Bruce Campbell look-alike Pachter, Respawn is working on a game that will hold its own side-by-side amongst some of the best space shooters out there right now (not like there's a lot). "They're going to make a Halo-killer, a game that's going to compete in the space shooter genre," Pachter says.

Hm. This song sounds awfully familiar. A lot of games this generation have been dubbed "Halo-killer," with none being able to take the crown from Microsoft's valued shooter. Not to doubt that the creators of Modern Warfare can't make something to that extent - they definitely have the creative talent to do so. I will say, though, that if Respawn is working on a shooter, it's going to be amazing. Then again, we all know that Pachter is like what, 0 for 200 or something this generation? Don't take this as gospel, folks. Pachter has also informed us that he talks to unicorns.
