Paladins: Champions of the Realm, the free-to-play multiplayer Hero shooter from Hi-Rez Studios, recently made the transition to PS4 and Xbox One. With that of course, comes comparisons to the PC version. Recently, Digital Foundry released a new video comparing the graphics and frame rate of the console and PC versions.

To summarize what is shown in the video, when comparing the visuals between all three platforms, Paladins looks virtually the same across PS4, Xbox One, and PC. While the PS4 version sees some improvements in halo effects for lamps in the game, that's essentially it. That said, Paladins isn't doing anything graphically intensive with its visuals, so it makes sense that it would look nearly identical on every platform.

When it comes to frame rate, each version of Paladins does a great job of locking in at 60fps. The console versions of Paladins prioritize frame rate over visuals which means rather than letting a frame drop, the resolution instead lowers instead. That said, it was only reported that the Xbox One version of the game ever saw this dip and that was only during some of the game's most chaotic battles. The other only instance seen of the frame rate dropping was on the PS4 version during instant replays where it sometimes fell close to 40fps.
