I'm still in the process of unpacking all my memories of this year's PAX East, but already among my favorites is the Omegathon. You may remember the other week when I discussed my personal involvement with this year's tournament, and while Team Ruckus didn't quite take home first prize, I'm happy to report that we had a good showing and it was a total blast having the opportunity to compete.

I could tell you some of the specifics of the rounds I personally witnessed, but fortunately, I can do you one better: The entire experience was documented by the very talented film crew at the Frag Dolls, and was cut together to a very succinct little video that you can find after the jump. All the glory, all the heartbreak, all the videogames. It's all there, so give it a watch. Unfortunately the clips of the Team Ruckus All-Star Cheer Squad didn't quite make the cut, but believe me when I say we were out in force.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the final round (pictured above) ended up being the classic shmup, Ikaruga. How crazy is that? I was honestly not expecting something so... electronic. Still, though, it was a great competition, and I can't wait to see what happens next year!
