Doors closed on the first day of PAX EAST at 2am, but majority of the people left around 5pm-6pm. I came back and I was there from 9pm-1am, and I was surprised to see the event was still alive and kickin’.
Most people were enjoying the music from various groups, and I was lucky enough to catch Metal Metroid play their renditions of classic Metroid tunes. But that’s not to say the convention center was condensed into just one hall. People were scattered all over the place. My favorite room was the Classic Console Room.
That’s all games! Games to ColecoVision, Sega Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64 and some other systems I didn’t even know the names to.
People were playing arcade machines.
People were playing table card games (Magic).
People were simply jamming in the room of instruments.
And yes, at the late hours of the night I spotted these awesome folk. What can I say? Gamers love staying up late. Check out the gallery below to see the rest of the wacky happenings at PAX EAST late at night.
