Since its debut in 2004, the annual Penny Arcade Expo series of conventions have brought gamers together around the world through its numerous events all yearlong, with the company announcing a new event tailored towards tabletop gamers at the end of the year.

In a press release, Penny Arcade has announced its new event PAX Unplugged, which will take place from November 17 - 19, 2017 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. The new event will mark the sixth of Penny Arcade's conventions, though will be the first targeted towards tabletop gamers, while still including many of the events that have drawn gaming fans from around the world, such as "game-inspired music concerts," tournaments, panels, and much more.

While tabletop gaming has been a part of every PAX event across the world, PAX Unplugged's focus on primarily tabletop gaming will definitely be an exciting idea, as tabletop, card gaming, and more have grown in recent years.

Badges for PAX Unplugged will be available this spring ahead of the event's debut later this year. PAX South is currently running this weekend in Austin, Texas, while other Penny Arcade events take place each year in Boston (PAX East), Seattle (PAX West/PAX Dev), and Australia (PAX Aus).
