Fighting games are notorious for having weak story components, but the upcoming brawler Persona 4: Arena looks to be kicking things up quite a bit. Director Kazuhisa Wada has disclosed that the story mode in the console version of Persona 4: Arena will take players between 30 and 40 hours to complete. This is because each of the playable characters has their own story branch, similar to Arc's own Blazblue.

While 40 hours is a sizable campaign for any game regardless of the genre, sinking that kind of time into a fighting game's single-player story mode is almost unfathomable.

Expect to be wowed when Persona 4: Arena goes on sale in August.
