During a special Persona 5  event held at Katayanagi Arena in Tokyo, A-1 Pictures announced that Persona 5 the Animation is in the works for 2018. An official announcement also came from the Persona PR account in Japan.

A-1 Pictures is the studio behind multiple Persona animations including the Persona 4: Golden anime as well as all of the Persona 3 animated films.

Before Persona 5 came out last year A-1 Pictures released a short prologue animation to accompany the game’s release in Japan back in 2016.

All of Persona 5′Japanese voice cast are set to make a return for the anime. It’s unconfirmed whether or not we’ll get an English dub at some point in the future, chances are we probably won’t.

Persona 5 is one of the best games that has come out this year. It was recently voted the best RPG of all time by Famitsu readers in JapanPersona doesn’t just get love in Japan though, it was among the top games in the video game market here in America back in April.
