5pb. announced via their Japanese blog that Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds will reach the PS Vita on July 29 in North America and Europe via PlayStation Network. Additionally, it will be available for South Korean PS Vita owners in August.

Masaki Sakari states in the blog that this is 5pb's first experience with a worldwide release for the PS Vita, and that experience has been a hard one. Every branch of Sony Computer Entertainment has different pre-release rules that would conflict with one another.  In addition, SCE was generally not open when negotiations were made to bend the rules to fit their needs, SCE Europe in particular.

Even after the complications, he says that it was a good learning experience for them and an a experience useful down the line. The western release also means that the Japanese release will be updated soon. Additionally, Sakari will contact SCE Japan about the trophy sync issues.

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds was originally released in Japan on March 13 for the PlayStation Vita.
