Phil Fish Really Confirms Fez 2 Is “Never Going to Happen”

on August 18, 2014 7:12 AM

Marking just around one year since Fez developer Phil Fish cancelled the charming puzzle game’s sequel in a rather vocal (and public) display through Twitter, Fish confirmed once again via Twitter that fans shouldn’t expect to get their hopes up on seeing Fez 2 appearing, at all.

Fish went to Twitter once again to confirm that Fez 2 is really, really not going to happen, as his latest tweet on the matter said that the game is “never going to happen. You don’t deserve it.”

Following last year’s original announcement from Fish that the game would be cancelled as a knee-jerk reaction to abuse and criticism within the industry, and following a nasty back-and-forth with gaming personality Marcus Beer, Fish’s latest tweet confirms that fans truly shouldn’t keep up hope for Fez 2…unless Fish changes his mind, again.
