Fans of the original Xbox cult classic Phantom Dust were thrown a wild surprise at last year’s E3 2014 with the reveal of a current-gen reboot of the series, though after the news of developer Darkside Game Studios closing, Microsoft confirmed the company is still determined to bring the experience to players.

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer confirmed through a tweet that despite the news of Darkside Game Studios’ closure last work, progress on Phantom Dust is still moving forward, with Spencer assuring fans that the company is “still committed to PD” in the tweet. Last week Microsoft announced the closure of Darkside Game Studios with work on the reboot title to continue, though no news of who would be taking over the project have been announced yet.

Phantom Dust is currently in development for Xbox One.
