Backwards compatibility seems to be very popular between Xbox fans, and has been identified by many as the ace up Microsoft’s sleeve at E3.
Earlier this week, Xbox division head Phil Spencer mentioned that we’d get news before the weekend, but apparently they got delayed, and we’ll hear about them next week.
@kevcampbell I apologize. Looks like BC news is delayed and will likely come next week. Again, sorry for the delay.

On top of that, Spencer made an interesting statement about backward compatibility for the original Xbox. Apparently he asks about it to the team “a lot,” and doesn’t think it’s a bad idea, even if he feels Xbox 360 BC has priority.
@HadleeSimons I don't think it's silly. I ask the BC team this question a lot. Need to finish 360 BC for now.

Personally, I would absolutely love to get backwards compatibility for Xbox titles. The Xbox era had some really great games, and replaying them without having to pull out the old brick or the Xbox 360 would be great.
