Today, Pine's Kickstarter concluded with €121,480 raised, which is a healthy amount above its €100,000 campaign goal. Additionally, the game also managed to hit one stretch goal, which adds a new combat arena mode.

The stretch goal specifically adds a new game mode called: The Albamare Arena, which is an arena mode that focuses on combat. Further details about this mode were not divulged. Developer Twirlbound also announced/revealed the addition of several news species to the game since the campaign launched.

According to Twirlbound, the Kickstarter will cover a “big part of the game’s full budget.” However, the money won’t be enough to finish the game, which is why it plans to find a publisher to finish it up with. Currently, it is talking with many publishers, one which is likely Square Enix Collective, where the game previously appeared.

Pine is slated to release for PC, Mac, and Linux sometime during Q4 2018. PS4, Xbox One, and Switch releases are “on the radar” of the developer.
