PixelJunk Shooter 2 Is In The Works

on February 9, 2010 7:39 AM

In a recent interview with G4, Dylan Cuthbert, founder of Q Games, makers of the PixelJunk series forshadowed about PixelJunk Shooter 2. As many know, there has never been an outright sequel to a PixelJunk game, which Cuthbert addresses by saying,

Normally sequels are just a re-hashing of the ideas in the original, but for PixelJunk Shooter we still have a ton of ideas on the drawing board and the engine has lots of potential we want to use before moving onto our next idea. It would be a waste not to use it to try out more stuff.

Cuthbert spoke about certain ship suits that were left out of the first game that he would like to incorporate as well. Although more is not currently known about this title, as information comes in we will try to keep you up to date. If you haven’t had a chance to play PixelJunk Shooter, I recommend it if you are a fan of games with shmup elements.
