Planescape: Torment was originally published for PC back in 1999. Then, it was developed by Black Isle Studios, and since that time the title has been regarded as one of the greatest RPG stories. Today, Beamdog, the developer behind Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, announced that Planescape: Torment's Enhanced Edition treatment will be launching on iOS, Android, PC, and Mac. The team also provided a trailer to accompany the news.

Beamdog has been working on the project in partnership with the original title's lead designer Chris Avellone, who has been instrumental in managing the game's updates, bug fixes, and in remastering the title in such a way that it does not lose its original charm. Along with a remastered soundtrack, the Enhanced Edition promises to include 4K interface support and tons of tools that modern gamers have grown accustomed to (zooming, quicklooting, etc.).

Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition will be released on April 11. As promised, the game's new trailer is provided below. For even more details on the game's imminent release, be sure to head to the official website.
