It was recently revealed at the China Game Developers Conference 2010 that PopCap's Plants Vs. Zombies will add online co-operative and competitive modes to its farm / tower defense title. The CEO of PopCap addressed rumors of a Plants Vs. Zombies MMO stating that:

"There are a lot of rumors, but we have announced nothing yet." referring to the possibility of a Plants Vs. Zombies Massive Multi-player Online game, but confirmed that the latest version of the title will receive online game-play.
