Plastic Still Rocks - A Heavy Set of Tunes Hits Guitar Hero

New downloadable content will be arriving to the Guitar Hero music library. The new DLC packs will be compatible with Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero, as well as the upcoming Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Track packs from musical acts such as Queen, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, and Shinedown will be coming to us throughout the month of July.

The first set of downloadable content track packs was released today with three tracks; “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” Killer Queen” and “Somebody To Love,”  by British rock band, Queen.

On July 13th, we can expect to see Avenged Sevenfold making into the music library with their songs “Scream,” “Afterlife” and “Almost Easy.”

July 20th will bring us Disturbed with a heavy pounding songs “Down With the Sickness,” “Striken,” and “Indestructable.”

Shinedown will be making their Guitar Hero debut on July 27th with their songs “Devour,” “Second Chance” and “Sound of Madness.”

These new downloads will be available on Xbox Live for 440 Microsoft points, $5.49 on the PlayStation 3, and for 550 Wii points. All songs are also released as downloadable singles for 160 MS points, $1.99 on the PS3 and for 200 Wii points each.
