During a keynote at BitSummit in Kyoto, PlatinumGames Producer Atsushi Inaba

Inaba-san teased the existence of a "formless, shapeless IP" that he can't talk about today. Interestingly, he also mentioned that on top of the new IP, it's also going to involve a new director, and it's going to be interesting to see how that new director will grow, and how he will help PlatinumGames grow as a company as well.

Inaba-san added that he doesn't know if the studio will keep up the pace of one title per year, but they're looking forward to make new games for the fans. He also teased new information coming between now and the next time he'll have a similar talk, and he'd like the fans to look forward to it.

This actually isn't the first time that Inaba-san talks about PlatinumGames creating its own IP. At Last year's edition of BitSummit he actually talked at length abut the fact that the studio dreamt to own its own IP, and apparently that plan is now in motion.

Unfortunately, no further information was provided about the nature of this mysterious new IP, so we'll have to wait for more news coming down the line.
