On January 8 through January 10, the general public will get their hands on the Nintendo 3DS for the first time. The event where this will take place will be held at the Makuhari Messe convention center just outside of Tokyo, Japan. Those of you who can't make it can still catch the action, because it will be broadcast live. Click 'Read More' to see what games will be showcased at this upcoming Nintendo World 2011 3DS demo event.

The following games will be playable:

  • Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D The Naked Sample (auto demo) (Konami)
  • Winning Eleven 3D Soccer (Konami)
  • Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (Capcom)
  • Resident Evil Revelations (Capcom)
  • Samurai Warriors Chronicle (Tecmo Koei)
  • Dead or Alive Dimensions (Tecmo Koei)
  • Ridge Racer 3D (Namco Bandai)

And these will be the games that will be shown via video only:

  • Super Monkey Ball 3D (Sega)
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D (Square Enix)
  • Gundam The 3D Battle (Namco Bandai)

  • Paper Mario (Nintendo)

  • Mario Kart (Nintendo)
  • Nintendo 3DS Camera (Nintendo)
  • Mii Plaza (Nintendo)

If you ask me, that is one heck of a grand list of games. It is unfortunate that it will not be possible to see how the games actually look, because cameras cannot pick up the 3D effects.
