Since its debut on Early Access back in March, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has risen through the Steam's best seller charts and become a phenomenon with over four million in sales already, with developer Bluehole Studio set to bring fans closer to the game's development starting tonight.

Bluehole has announced that the studio will be launching a weekly series of Facebook Live streams to "showcase different elements" of the title during its Early Access development period, which will start tonight (Monday, July 10th) from 7pm-10pm PST and occur on a weekly basis. The streams will be hosted by Bluehole Studio's community managers for the stream series' first installment, while subsequent streams will also feature various content creators and members of the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds community.

Bluehole Studio's VP and executive producer Chang Han provided a statement that "this new initiative with Facebook will bring our passionate fan base closer to our development team," adding that "livestreaming has been very important to the growth of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds." Han explained further that "we believe featuring PUBG livestreamers on Facebook further strengthens our commitment to the community while extending the reach of our game to a global audience.

Facebook director of global games partnerships Lee Olebe also provided a statement on the partnership between the company and Bluehole, explaining that the two companies have "a shared belief in the power of gaming communities, and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a stunning example of a hit game guided directly by its fans." Olebe added that "Battlegrounds is just as much fun to watch as it is to play, and we’re excited to see some of the best PUBG creators bring exclusive content to Facebook to help fuel its growing community on the platform."

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is currently available on PC through Steam Early Access and is planning to release in Q4 2017. An Xbox One version of the title is also currently in development.
