PlayStation 3 Gets the Sexy Portable Treatment Once Again

on May 30, 2011 12:00 PM

If there’s one thing I can never get enough of, it’s portable console mods. I wish I was savvy enough to create one of these myself, but in the meantime I suppose I’ll just have to stare in awe at the work of people like PSHax member “Pirate”, who has created a new water-cooled netbook sized PlayStation 3. With a built in keyboard, 500GB Hard Drive, and a full 720P / 1080i screen, this is the ultimate carry on for a flight. If you want it for yourself, that’s a possibility as the PS3 is on sale on eBay with a current price of $1,000 and nine days remaining.

A portion of the proceeds will go towards Tornado relief efforts in Joplin Missouri, with the rest going to server costs at PSHax. I live very close to Joplin, and that disaster hit pretty close to home for me so this is nice to see.

John is what you might call something of a badass. When he's not writing about games or playing them, he's playing in the Kansas City band "Documentary" and drinking as many different beers as often as he can. He's a huge comic nerd in the best sense of the term, with a particular love for the Creator Owned movement.
