Back at Anime Expo, Aksys Games announced that it would bring Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st] to North America, and today UK-based publisher PQube announced that it'll take care of Europe.

The game will come with all three of its platforms preserved, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, in Q4 2017. It's always great to see a publisher continuing to support PS Vita, and quite surprising to see games releasing on the venerable PS3 in 2017, when the console is basically dead and buried.

Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st] is an updated version by developer French Bread of Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late, which is the 2014 PS3 update of Under Night In-Birth for arcades, dating all the way back to 2012. It also marks the debut of the game on PS4 and PS Vita.

This update also comes with two new characters added to the roster, Enkidu and Wagner. One thing is for sure, fighting games are seeing a sort of renaissance lately. We're not back in the golden age of the Nineties just yet, but many are being released, and quite a few of them sell very well.

Before reaching the western shores, Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st] will launch in Japan on July 20th, and if you want to see more, you can check out the first trailer and some screenshots from Famitsu.
