Since its introduction over 25 years ago, PlayStation and its numerous series and franchises have brought creators and gamers together in a meaningful way, with a new series from PlayStation giving a more literal interpretation of that through its new Makers & Gamers series.

A new video was released as part of PlayStation's "Makers & Gamers" series on YouTube, with the video giving brief glimpses of the behind-the-scenes process as God of War director Cory Barlog meets with a longtime God of War fan, Emmanuel.

The resulting video highlights the connections between game creators and those who play them, and hopefully with upcoming episodes of the series we'll get to see even more of the reasons why PlayStation's developers and creators are inspiring those that love to play their games.

The first episode of PlayStation's Makers & Gamers series can be viewed below, featuring God of War and creative director Cory Barlog. You can also check out a gallery of images from God of War fan Emmanuel featured in the video, along with a thank you video from Emmanuel that was made after meeting Barlog and getting to experience God of War:
