It wouldn't be a proper holiday without a PlayStation Network outage. While many are returning back to work on Monday, those at home trying to log into PlayStation Network may be facing some difficulty. According to PlayStation's official network status site, this outage includes nearly every major services -- Account Managment, PlayStation Store, and games most notably:

There is no known scheduled maintenance for this time, leaving many to wonder if this is a new issue in the network or if Sony is experiencing a DDoS attack (much like Christmas 2014's infamous outage). According to a statement from Sony to Express:

You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.

Hopefully we will see everything come online soon -- we will update as more information becomes available. For those anxiously awaiting to play online, make sure to keep your eyes on the status page. Meanwhile, catch up on some of your offline game.
