PlayStation Now PS3 Codes Actually Work on PS4; Screenshots of the New PS3 Lineup Leaked (UPDATED)

on May 20, 2014 6:20 PM

Update 2: apparently the information provided earlier by Sony’s reps is incorrect, as multiple users are reporting  further conversation with other reps saying that PS4 beta codes haven’t been sent out yet, and will be in two weeks. Everyone that received a PS3 beta code and also marked “PS4” during registration will receive a PS4 code within that time frame. If you registered your code on PS4 you can still use it on PS3, as it’ll still be valid.

The original article can be found below:

If you received a code for the PlayStation 3 beta of PlayStation Now today but would rather try the PS4 version, you may want to try redeeming it directly on your PS4, because it will actually work, as reported by Reddit user KILLPREE (who posted a screenshot as evidence as well, you can check it out at the bottom of the post) and others.

At the moment the PS4 beta app isn’t yet available for download (the button is grayed out), but according to Sony’s support it’ll still come today, even if there isn’t a precise ETA. They also confirmed to user Arwelsh that the code does indeed work for both PS3 and PS4.

Update: user DarkSlayer224 also managed to get further information from support: existing beta testers (prior to this wave of invites) will get a code for the PS4 test within the next two weeks. If you don’t get one by then, you should contact support and they’ll provide it.

Below you can also check out a set of screenshots of the new lineup of PS3 games made available today, provided to us by a reader that wished to remain anonymous.
