PlayStation Now PS4 Beta Delayed, Codes Will be Sent Within Two Weeks

on May 21, 2014 2:58 AM

Two days ago the PlayStation Blog announced that the PlayStation Now beta was scheduled to start yesterday, but apparently that hasn’t been the case.

After a pretty confusing afternoon during which support representatives from Sony told users that the PS4 app would be available later in the day, things have changed, and they’re now sharing that only PS3 beta codes were sent, while everyone that received a PS3 code yesterday or earlier and also marked PS4 as his chosen platform when registering will receive the code for the PS4 within an “official time frame” of two weeks.

Below you can check out the chat logs of four conversations with PlayStation Support (including my own, happened a few minutes ago in addition to those posted by a few Reddit users) giving the rundown of how it’ll work.

If you are eager to try the beta of the service on the PS4, looks like you’ll have to wait a little longer. If you inserted the PS3 code for the beta you received in your PS4, you’ll still be able to redeem it on PS3, as long as you do so on the same SEN account.
