PlayStation Plus Subscribers Tripled Since PS4 Launch

on January 30, 2014 8:28 PM

During the conference in which Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced the the UK release of the PS Vita Slim, General Manager Fergal Gara displayed a graph showing the progression of the subscriber base of PlayStation Plus.

According to the graph, the number of subscribers has tripled in the past three months, meaning since the launch of the PS4. You can see the graph below, tweeted by Sixthaxis.

Of course part of this relevant increase is due to the service being a requirement to play online with Sony’s new console, but things definitely seem to be going well for the house of PlayStation on that front. That’s not too surprising considering the value of the offer.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
