PlayStation Store Hitting The Web

In an interview with CNET, Sony has confirmed that it plans to release a web browser version of the PlayStation Store that will be similar to the one released in Europe.

The store will allow gamers to browse all titles on the store and make purchases conveniently from their internet browsers. Also confirmed was that the store will eventually allow content bought on the browser store to be automatically downloaded onto the PlayStation 3.

In terms of features like this Microsoft has had the edge on Sony but with things becoming increasingly similar between the way both consoles function the only differences are going to be exclusives and Live versus PS Plus. This is great for PlayStation fans though and will make shopping more convenient for those away from their consoles.
