Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled its new curation initiative that allows for developers to make recommendations for PlayStation Owners.

Titled "The Creators" the new section is actually already live and ready for you peruse through, at least on the US PlayStation Store (with more regions to follow). Notably, it already features selections from Guerrilla Game's Sid Herman Hulst, Axiom Verge creator Tom Happ, Yoshinori Ono, and of course the one and only president of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida (there's more as well).

As well as individual developers, studios also have been invited to participate, collectively suggesting purchases. These studios include: Supergiant Games, the Final Fantasy XV team, Playdead, Psyonix, and more.

It's currently unclear if the section will remain perpetually as a curation tool system, or if it's a mere store promotion. Further, it remains to be seen if PlayStation and Sony will expand with more developers and studios.

Personally, I'm all for better creation tools: as the PlayStation Store is becoming more and more a junkyard where hidden gems are harder and harder to find (though nowhere near the level of Steam, or the dreaded App Store). And while this really isn't the type of curation I think is needed, it's still a neat little thing.
