Today developer and publisher CCP Games announced that its upcoming VR sports game Sparc will be arriving on PlayStation VR on August 29th, 2017, and is set to cost players $29.99.

In addition to the announcement of the release date, CCP Games also revealed a couple of GIFs from the game. You can check them out at the end of the article.

If you can't wait to get your hands on the game, a brand new feature for the game will be shown off at Gamescom in Germany, which starts on August 22nd, 2017 and ends on August 26th, 2017.

Sparc is a sports game where the players use their controllers to launch projectiles at one another. You can  counter incoming attacks by either blocking, dodging, or deflecting.  Because of these mechanics, the PlayStation Move controller is required to play the game.

Sparc is also set to launch on Steam sometime later this year, however, as of this writing, a more exact release date is unknown. That version will be compatible with both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR units. During E3 2017, is was announced that the game would come to the PlayStation VR before launching on other platforms.
