Sony PlayStation Optimus Prime Now Available for Pre-Order, and It Looks Absolutely Epic

Remember the transformable PlayStation Optimus Prime announced back in July by Takara Tomy? Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia announced today that it’s available for pre-order in Japan on Ebten.

The toy, designed by Izumojuki and priced 10,800 yen (just short of $99) will be released at the end of February and is 190 mm tall.

Those who pre-order it will also receive a limited edition T-shirt, which you can see below, together with some detailed pictures of the PlayStation/Transformer hybrid.

It looks quite epic, isn’t it? The level of detail is definitely top-notch considering the scale, worthy of PlayStation’s 20th anniversary.

The good news? If you don’t live in Japan there’s still a chance to get your hands on it, as the pre-order is also available on Play Asia, even if unfortunately it doesn’t come with the shirt.
