Plot Twist: The Girl Topping the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Popularity Vote Is The one With the Smallest Chest

on September 1, 2015 2:47 PM

Koei Tecmo is holding a popularity vote to decide the Dead or Alive heroines that will be included in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, based on the number of PS4 and PS Vita themes sold for each girl in Japan and Asia.

Considering Dead or Alive‘s penchant for powerfully endowed heroines, you might have expected to see one who fits that description at the top. If you did, you were wrong.

Today the publisher released the mid-point results, and you can see them below.

ir

  1. Marie Rose: 17.1%
  2. Honoka: 14.8%
  3. Kasumi:_ 11.5%
  4. Ayane: 9.2%
  5. Kokoro: 8.3%
  6. Nyotengu: 7.2%
  7. Hitomi: 6.4%
  8. Momiji: 4.9%
  9. Leifang: 4.6%
  10. Helena: 4.2%
  11. Tina: 3.9%
  12. Mila: 3.0%
  13. Rachel: 1.7%
  14. Lisa: 1.7%
  15. Christie: 1.7%

Those ranked from 10th place to 15th will be excluded from the game, unless their fans rally to push them up to the higher ranks (and this is probably exactly what Koei Tecmo hopes, as you have to basically vote with your wallet). Final results will be announced at Tokyo Game Show.

Do you see anything interesting in the list? I do.

The heroine with the smallest chest is actually at the top. Marie Rose is dominating with 17.1%, followed by the lady with the biggest bumper, Honoka.

I bet some of you are wondering about the reasons behind this preliminary result. It might actually be pretty simple: Marie Rose’s petite proportions and small chest actually make her unique within the generally well endowed cast. This means that the votes of those who prefer those kind of physique are focusing mainly¬†on her, while the votes of those who prefer them bigger are dispersing among several candidates.

Wonders of statistics.
