Popular mobile game Pokémon GO has received a new update today courtesy of developer Niantic on both iOS and Android devices. The new versions of the game will be titled 1.21.0 and 0.51.1, respectively.

This update is very minor in scope, as only a handful of bugs are addressed. It does, however, remove the vibration feature that was seemingly triggered at random, without any Pokémon being nearby. Day and night cycles have also been adjusted to better reflect the time of day the player is in.

much larger update hit Pokémon GO last week as in addition to a Santa Claus Pikachu, more Pokémon from the Pokémon Gold and Silver era of the franchise, like Togepi and Pichu, were introduced. Recent partnerships with Starbucks and Sprint have also added incentive for players to once again hit the road.

Nintendo and Niantic's mobile sensation is available now for iOS and Android. Full notes for today's update can be found below:

  • The bug that caused incorrect vibration notifications has been fixed.
  • Day and night modes have changed to more accurately reflect the Trainer’s current time of day.
  • Minor text fixes.
