Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Sold More Than 7.7 Million Copies

Japanese gaming publication Famitsu reports that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has sold more than 770 million copies since launch, due to the launch of the game in Euorpe a week later.

The third generation Hoen remakes sold 35% more than the latest entry in the franchise, Pokémon X and Y versions, and surpassed it as the fastest selling title on the 3DS. When it launched in North America and Japan, sales reached 3 million in the first week alone.

What’s interesting about these sales is that they come before Christmas; I wonder what sales will look like after the major holiday season ends.
