Pokémon Shuffle, a free-to-play title from Nintendo, is now available for download on the eShop.

According to the official site, your goal is to clear various stages by lining up the same Pokémon and clearing these matches from the puzzle area. Within each puzzle stage, you can deal damage to the wild Pokémon you face by lining up three of the same Pokémon to clear them.

There are different Pokémon types, just as in the main series games, and they have their own strengths and weaknesses. There are also Mega evolutions and when one takes places it can clear out a whole heap of Pokémon at once or cause other special effects.

Pokémon Shuffle does have microtransactions, however. You start off with five hearts and lose one for every completed round, regardless of your results. You can than either wait for one heart regenerate every 30 minutes (up to five per day) or purchase more hearts with Jewels.

Jewels can be bought with real-world money and in certain amounts -- the more you spend, the better return you get. Jewels can be rarely found in the game as well and one jewel is worth five hearts or 3000 coins -- which can buy a strong item.

The game is of course free to download and costs 686 blocks of space.
