The Pokémon Company revealed the Second Global Mission for Pokémon Sun and Moon today. To complete it, Sun and Moon players must work together to defeat a total of 1 million Pokémon using the Island Scan feature.

This mission will run from December 27 at 4:00 UTC and will run until 23:59 UTC on January 9. If the mission is failed, players will only receive 217 FC is they don’t have a Global Link Account, and only 434 FC if they do have one.

Global missions are a special feature of Pokémon Sun and Moon that ask players from around the world to work together to complete a certain task in order to win special prizes. Players failed the previous Global Mission, which asked players to work together to catch 100 Million Pokémon. Players only ended up catching 16 million.

DualShockers gave Pokémon Sun and Moon a 9.0, saying “Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are both fantastic additions to the series’ 20th anniversary. With an inspired new generation of Pokémon and a ton of variation, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are the freshest take on a tried-and-true series.” Pokémon Sun and Moon are available now on 3DS.
