Pokémon X Nobunaga’s Ambition Gets a Trailer: Who Got Pokémon in my Sengoku Jidai?

on December 18, 2011 11:00 AM

You probably know what Pokémon is. On the other hand it’s possible that you don’t know about Nobunaga’s Ambition, a series of strategy games and strategy RPGs set in the Sengoku Jidai (the famous age of strife of Japan, that provides the setting for many games, including Total War: Shogun 2) and published by Tecmo Koei.

You may think that those two series have absolutely nothing to do with each other, and you’d be right. Scratch that, you were right, until now, as Tecmo Koei is going to publish the most improbable crossover ever, with historical figures like Oda Nobunaga and Takeda Shingen letting their Pokémon do the fighting. The game will hit the Japanese shelves for the Nintendo DS next spring.

Do you think I’m joking? I’m not. Check past the cut for a trailer. I’ll let you chose between being amazed or terrified.
