Pokken Tournament Championship Series Gets a Competitive New Teaser

Pokken Tournament launches next week on the Wii U, and the competition will only begin when players get their hands on the game. A full Championship Series is planned for various locations in North America and Europe with a shot at over $100,000 in prizes.

As previously announced, there will be two divisions of the tournament based on player’s age. A few more details about the process to qualify for the tournament have been revealed. Below are the qualifying events for each division.

Masters Division major events feature:

  • 1st and 2nd place finishers earn World Championships invitation and travel award
  • Top 32 competitors receive Championship Points

Masters Division minor events feature:

  • 1st place finisher earns World Championships invitation and travel award
  • Top 16 competitors receive Championship Points

Senior Division events feature:

  • 1st and 2nd place finishers earn World Championships invitation and travel award
