Pokkén Tournament, the upcoming Pokémon-themed fighting game, will be coming to Japanese arcades in summer of this year. We also get a new batch of screenshots showcasing support Pokémon, special moves and the various game modes.

In terms of support Pokémon, you can choose two of them per match and when you use them often in battle, they gain more power and are able to access the power-up move Resonance Burst and the strong offensive move Burst Attack.

National Tournament features several modes for players. There’s Tutorial, which is for solo practice; Single Player, for solo matches without the pressure of competition; In-Store Mode, which lets you play matches against other players in the same store/arcade; National Battle, which is for worldwide online tournament play.
