Has the game's release date possibly been bumped up a bit? According to a press release released by EA today, not only will people who pre-order the console versions of the game get some new items, but apparently the game has an October 29, 2010 release. This comes after the initially announced October 26, 2010 launch date. But, maybe this was a typo? Who knows, but hey, if you pre-order the game for whatever console you have, you get more things, so that makes up for it right?

From now until the date of release (October 29), people who pre-order the game will get items before everyone else. What you get also depends on where you buy it, so here's the rundown:

• Game (X360/PS3 Only) - The ‘Get Lucky’ Karma Power which grants your Sims the power of luck and ensures all endeavours end in success.
• Amazon - The Ultra Lounge Living Room set provides your Sim with a new flat panel television, contemporary décor items, and other cool furnishings.
• Play.com - Cruise around town in-game with a muscle car or a top of the range sports car.
• EA Store/Digital - Ultra Lounge Outdoor Set.

One last thing to note: if you receive your code, it's only effective until April 31, 2011 so make sure you don't lose it!
