First revealed during a State of Play showcase back in May 2019, Predator: Hunting Grounds is now closer than ever to its release date on April 24, which is over a month from now. Developers, mostly, dedicate this remaining time to polish and refine the game, which could be done much easier if it gets to be played by a large number of players before launch. IllFonic is looking to do the same thing and has announced a free trial weekend for Predator: Hunting Grounds starting later this month.Today, IllFonic took to Twitter to reveal a free trial weekend for Predator: Hunting Grounds which is going to start on March 27 and end on March 29. Both PS4 and PC users can enjoy the free weekend together thanks to the game’s cross-play support.

Predator Hunting Grounds is a 1v5 multiplayer shooter featuring both first-person and third-person views depending on the side you choose to play for. During every match, one of the players takes the role of Predator, while the other five team up as a Fireteam of elite soldiers to work together and make a way out of the forest. As Predator, you will be using the third-person view to have a better look around for hunting down your prey. A bunch of cutting-edge weapons will be available for the Predator to take down the enemies one after another in multiple methods.

On the other hand, playing as the Fireteam, you'll need a precise plan, flawless teamwork, and five sharp-shooters. You and your teammates will be tasked to finish various missions within the forest in order to find the way out and get to the chopper. Unlike Predator, there are different classes available for soldiers each one with its own gears and weapons. As you make progress in the game, you will be able to use new weapons on both sides.

Make sure to check out the gameplay trailer of the game if you need to learn more about it than the descriptions above. Predator: Hunting Grounds will be heading to PS4 and PC on April 24. It's worth noting that PC version of the game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
